North Coast Ventures is a Cleveland-based investment fund, primarily investing in early-stage, B2B, Software-as-a-Service ventures in Northeast Ohio and throughout the country. Founded to help the community better support startups, create jobs and grow the regional economy, NCV and its investors have invested more than $90M in 65 early-stage ventures. Each year, North Coast Ventures hosts an Annual Meeting to share fund updates, review portfolio companies and deliver a one-on-one discussion with a prominent business leader in the community.
This year, the 2022 Annual Meeting once again brought together NCV's 400+ investors, team members from our portfolio companies, and members of the business, startup and innovation communities. Attendees heard presentations from the CEOs of our fastest growing startups, during which they shared their company's path to success and one key insight from the past year.
In addition, we were joined by Chris Gorman, Chairman, CEO and President of KeyCorp at KeyBank as our fireside chat guest. He discussed KeyBank's approach to innovation in the FinTech space, their strategy for engaging with technology startups and how they see financial technology evolving in the future.

Chris and his team are responsible for more than $171 billion in assets, 18,000 employees and 3.5 million clients. Prior to becoming CEO, Chris served as vice chairman and president of banking, where he oversaw all revenue-generating businesses including consumer, commercial and institutional banking. Chris is also chairman of KeyCorp's Corporate Responsibility Council.
Outside of his roles at Key, Chris is a member of the Bank Policy Institute and its technology policy division, and serves as a board member of the University Hospital Health System and Cleveland Museum of Art.
In addition, NCV shared a review of the portfolio and showcased our fastest growing startups - Able, ScriptDrop, ReadySet Surgical and Leasecake. In a series of short presentations, the CEOs shared their company's story and one key insight from the past year.
